Coronavirus (COVID-19) Updates

COVID-19 UPDATE March 2021:

From August 7th 2020, Medicare have released an additional 10 rebatable Psychology sessions. These sessions can be accessed by having a review with you GP when your first 10 sessions are used, this means that patients can now access 20 rebatable sessions in a calendar year to help support them through COVID-19. To discuss your options, call our reception team on 03 5906 5400   OPTIMIND are committed to providing continued care throughout this difficult time and are operating as usual from our Mornington, Somerville & Highett clinics. Our main priority is to keep our patients and staff safe and healthy, we have implemented new strict hygiene and social distancing protocols as per the advice of The Department of Health and will continue to monitor developments of COVID-19 daily to ensure we are up to date with all new procedures. These include screening questions for all patients who wish to come into the clinic, hand washing and sanitising protocols upon entering the clinic, and regular cleaning, specifically in high touch areas using hospital grade disinfectant. If  you are someone who is currently self-isolating or do not wish to attend the clinic, OPTIMIND are now offering Telehealth and Telephone consultations.  We are also offering some out of hours Telehealth appointments for those working in health care or shift workers. There is also a list of resources below that may be helpful if you feel lonely or have anxiety while isolating.
