Consultant Psychiatrist
Dr Jeremy Stone has been a consultant psychiatrist for 20 years. Previously, he was a general practitioner but wanted to pursue a more complex and rewarding pathway in specialised mental health care. He has a history of working across various public health services and private health services, which helps him to understand the complexity of systems to help patients benefit towards their recovery in mental health and wellbeing.
He has also served on various Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatry committees and the Board, which helps provide a greater understanding in the profession of psychiatry and also the availability of services for the community.
He established the OPTIMIND mental health service in order to reach the greatest number of patients in the community, to provide them the widest access to various treatment modalities and also as a strong believer in the importance of collaborative care in providing the optimal patient health experience. His interests in technology led him to co-found ADHD Link as a means to provide efficient yet high quality assessments in ADHD for his patients.
Understanding the profound impact of physical trauma on mental health has always driven my approach to psychiatry. At Optimind, we're committed to treating not just the symptoms, but the whole person, ensuring a path to healing that is as compassionate as it is comprehensive.
