Dr Ivy Ong

Ivy is a compassionate Consultant Psychiatrist with a keen interest in youth and perinatal psychiatry. She has a deep commitment to fostering mental wellness through significant life transitions by developing a mutual understanding and the provision of holistic care.

Ivy completed her medical training at Monash University and earned her Fellowship from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists in 2019. She has worked across multiple areas of Psychiatry, including refugee health, the mother-baby unit and inpatient and Community Youth Psychiatry Team. In addition to her work at OPTIMIND, Ivy also works for a youth public mental heath team that provides care to a large catchment area in Melbourne. She is a strong advocate of working alongside her patients to empower them in their recovery journey.

Ivy sees people aged 16 years and over.
