Adriana is a nationally registered psychologist with a Doctorate of Psychology from Deakin University. She has worked in a variety of settings, including the not-for-profit sector, public hospital system and private consulting.
Adriana has a special interest in working with adolescents and adults with chronic health or life-limiting illnesses such as diabetes, chronic pain and cancer, as well as those who have experienced traumatic stress. In her practice, Adriana takes a holistic view of health, with the understanding that the mind and body work together.
She provides a safe, open and non-judgemental atmosphere, with the aim of supporting clients to achieve their goals. Adriana uses a variety of therapeutic approaches based on the clients needs, including Mindful Self-Compassion, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Somatosensory techniques and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.
