Eileen is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and a Member of the Australian Association of Social Workers. Her qualifications include a BA in Psychology and Sociology, a Bachelor of Social Work, a Graduate Diploma in Social Science (Gestalt Therapy), Certificate in Couples Therapy and 12 month internship with Relationships Australia, Certificate in Clinical Hypnosis, and Diploma in Sensory Motor Art Therapy. Her experience working therapeutically with individuals, couples and groups spans 19 years.
As an accredited Mental Health Social Worker, Eileen is registered to provide evidence-based treatment through Medicare and is experienced in a full range of mental health issues such as Anxiety, Depression, Borderline Personality, Grief, Loss and Bereavement, Stress, Life transitions, and Relationship Issues.
Eileen incorporates evidence-based treatment methods with mindfulness meditation practices and Art Therapy for a holistic approach to counselling. Evidence-based approaches include Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
